Often imitated, but never duplicated.

The LED camp lights that Hard Korr Lighting invented are now seen across thousands of Australian campsites. In the years since we introduced them to the market, we’ve developed and released many innovations and improvements designed to make our light bars even more useful and hard-wearing, including reinforced grommet ends, inbuilt magnets, removable pole clips and more.

We’ve now taken the next leap forward in design and technology, making lighting your campsite, vehicle or building even easier. Our exclusive diffusers, now included with all light bars, create a much wider, more pleasant light beam – no more LEDs shining in your eyes if you’re on the wrong angle! The light bar pole clips and dimmer pole clips (sold separately) make attachment to non-magnetic tent poles much easier.

Additionally, flush mounting in canopies or tailgates is now easier and looks better thanks to our wire-covering end caps and flush mount clips (sold separately).

Please note this product requires a Dimmer Switch to operate the on/off and dimming functions, and either a Cigarette Lead or Transformer for power.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I mix and match white and orange/white LED lights?

Yes, with some caveats. Our white LED camp light bars use 2-pin DC connectors (black end caps), as do the 12v plugs and transformers. Orange/white light bars use 4-pin DC connectors (orange end caps). Orange/white dimmers have a 2-pin DC input plug and a 4-pin DC output plug, and provide the interface between white and orange/white light bars. This means that if you are mixing white and orange/white light bars, they will need to be controlled by separate dimmers. Our recommendation is to use a splitter cable straight after the cig lead or transformer, and run the white lights off one branch and the orange lights off the other.

How many LED camping lights can I connect in series?

Each setup is different, and there are a couple of factors to consider. First, consider the power source. If you are running Our dimmers are rated to 5A each. For safety we recommend connecting no more than seven (7) 48cm light bars in series.

How do I power my LED camping lights?

You can power your LED camping lights using your vehicle battery with a 12v (cigarette) plug, or via mains power using our 36w or 60w transformer.

How can I mount the LED camping light bars?

Our camp light bars can be mounted in several different ways. Each bar has an inbuilt magnet at either end, for easy attachment to magnetic surfaces. You can also use our removable pole clips (standard in all camp kits except Hardkorr Lifestyle) to affix the bars to aluminium tent or awning poles. Finally, if you want to permanently fix your bars in place, you can use our flush mount clips (sold separately).

What are orange LED lights used for?

There is a well-founded scientific basis for using orange light to reduce insect activity around your camp lighting and campsite, which centres on the fact that humans and insects see differently.

The diagram below shows the difference between the parts of the visible light spectrum which are visible to humans compared to most insects.

Visible Light Spectrum - Humans vs Bugs

Most insects can see light in the ultraviolet spectrum, which is invisible to humans, but are unable to perceive wavelengths above 600nm. Our orange lights, which emit a 615nm beam, are thus invisible to most insects and as a result they will not be attracted to it.

I have an orange and white camp light bar. How do I switch between colours?

If you have a rotary dimmer (circular dial), simply press on the dial to switch between orange and white light. If you have a tri-colour dimmer (buttons), you simply press the mode (M) button.
